"I lost Tamahome. I lost Miaka. I lost my dignity. I lost everything. You 
can't possibly know a fucking thing about how I'm feeling!"

"..." Soi narrowed her eyes. She'd tried being nice. She'd offered her 
comfort. But all this little wench could do was cry about how her life was 
over. Act like everyone else's problems were worthless! Damn it, how could 
anyone be so selfish?!

"Not a fucking thing, huh?" Soi said coldly. "My family sold me to a 
brothel when I was 12. I was nearly raped several times. I fell in love, 
and for so many years I thought he loved me too. But now, I'm slowly 
losing my one true love to the likes of a selfish, worthless blonde WENCH 
who doesn't know the MEANING of pain! And I don't know a fucking thing 
about how you feel?!" Filled with rage now, Soi reached out and brought 
her hand across Yui's cheek with a sickening slap.

Yui's only response was to collapse to her knees, shaking violently with 
soundless sobs.

"...DAMN IT!" Soi glared down at her hand. There were slight traces of 
Yui's blood across her palm. 'I wanted to slap some sense into her, not 
draw blood!' Great, now she felt BAD for hurting the girl she couldn't 
stand. The one who was stealing Nakago away from her.

'Forget him!'

"What?!" Soi narrowed her eyes once more. Stupid inner voice.

'Look at her. Yui's not some seductress trying to lure that man away from 
you. She's just a frightened, lonely little girl who wants someone to love 
her. Don't tell me you don't know what that feels like, not after that 
rant! You think she's selfish, crying about her life and not thinking of 
your problems. Admit it, you're just as selfish as you accuse HER of 
being!'

"...Damn it!"

The stupid inner voice was right. As much as it hurt to think she was 
losing Nakago, it wasn't important. Yui needed someone right now, and it 
might as well be her. Slowly, she knelt down next to the girl's convulsing 
form.

"Yui...I'm sorry."

No answer.

"I-I was angry, but I shouldn't have slapped you. I-I know you're not 
TRYING to steal him away from me...I'm just...obsessive, selfish..."

No response, only choked sobs.

"Yui, please answer me."

"Go away."

Soi moved closer and gently placed her hand on Yui's back. 

"I said go away."

"Yui..." Soi wrapped her arms around the girl and pulled her close. Yui 
struggled.

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" she screamed.

"No!" Soi held her arms in an unshakable grip. Unable to get away, Yui 
collapsed against the older girl and sobbed violently.
