"I'm gonna fuck you up so bad, Seiryuu no Miko," Tasuki snarled as he tore off her school blouse, exposing her bra. "Stop!" Yui cried, struggling. "I didn't tell Suboshi to go after Miaka, I swear!" "Don't lie to me, bitch!" Tasuki grabbed hold of Yui's arms and pinned her firmly to the ground. "You're gonna regret the day you ever crossed me, Seiryuu no Miko!" "Stop it, leave me alone!" Yui screamed. Anyone who hurts Miaka answers to ME!" Tasuki growled. He was about to do away with her skirt when a bolt of lightening struck his shoulder. "Get away from her!" "AUGH! Soi, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be off polishing Nakago's sword?" Tasuki muttered, rubbing his shoulder. "I said get away from her, you no-good second rate bandit!" Soi snapped. "Stay out of this! It's between me and her!" "I'm giving you one last warning!" "You don't even care about her anyway!" "That's it!" Soi charged forward and shoved Tasuki off of Yui. Tasuki fell on his side, muttering. Yui was trembling in fright, covering her half- naked breasts with her arms. "And don't you EVER let me catch you hurting her again, you bastard!" Soi screeched. Tasuki got up and walked away, swearing under his breath. "Friggin bitch...why does she have to be so damn sexy anyway?" "Idiot," Soi muttered as she stepped over to Yui. "Are you all right?" "I-I think so..." Yui reached for her torn jacket and blouse and pulled them on, trying to cover herself. "You shouldn't be out here alone. It's not safe, especially at night," Soi said. "I thought Suboshi was with you when you left." "He said he felt sick, so I told him to go back," Yui said. She began to get up, then fell backwards, crying out in pain. "What's wrong?!" Soi asked. "I-it's nothing, just my ankle..." Yui winced. "I-I'll be fine." She tried to pick herself up again, but only succeeded in falling back. "Yui..." Without thinking, Soi knelt down and gently picked up the blonde in her arms, wrapping her cloak around her half-naked form. Yui squeaked. "Soi? Wh-what are you doing?" "You're in no condition to walk on that ankle," Soi said coldly. "It doesn't look too serious, fortunately...but it should be taken care of as soon as we get back." "Th-thanks..." Yui said quietly. Soi glared at her. "Don't get used to this. I'm only doing this because it's my job as a Seishi to protect you," she said sternly. Yui nodded. Neither one of them said anything more on the way back. Soi didn't even look at the girl, reminding herself that she was only doing her job as a Seishi, nothing more. But she couldn't help smiling when she felt Yui snuggle against her a little. Yui was still a bit shaken from her attack, and felt very grateful to Soi for rescuing her. But she'd felt the same when Nakago saved her from those men upon her arrival in Kutou...sort of. She'd been unconcious at the time, actually, but it was the same thing...right? It didn't matter, she thought. "...Iie..." From the shadows, Suboshi looked on, eyes wide with terror. The scene he'd just witnessed played over and over in his mind...Tasuki grabbing Yui-sama and screaming at her, glaring at her with almost demonic eyes, pinning her to the ground and ripping her clothes off... It was more than just seeing the one he loved being threatened. The anger, the image of the girl trembling and exposed with an angry Seishi standing before her...even the threat... 'I'm gonna fuck you up so bad.' "Suzaku no Miko..." Suboshi gasped. All at once, the memories of that day came flashing back to him...Miaka...his Ryuuseisui tearing through Tomo's chest...Yui-sama... Amiboshi... The day...he'd rejected his brother in favor of Yui-sama. She hadn't even cared that he'd forsaken his brother to be with her. Responsibility or not. 'I shouldn't have complained about feeling tired and sick. I never leave her side if I can help it, and the one time I did...' He berated himself. 'Idiot! You usually step in and threaten the life of any Suzaku Seishi who so much as LOOKS at Yui-sama the wrong way, but tonight you just HAD to run off and let this happen! What if Soi hadn't been there to stop that bastard?! Then what?! Were you just gonna stand here and watch the carnage from a safe place?' As the silhouette of Soi carrying Yui-sama away vanished into the night, Suboshi collapsed to his knees, tears streaming down his cheeks. He felt so confused and overwhelmed by so much, and the one person he needed more than anything was gone. "Aniki..." He clutched at his chest, pain squeezing his heart tightly until it broke. "Anikiiii!" he sobbed.
